No - every headline event sells single tickets too. But the Festival Pass is cheaper from the third event on and includes catering and networking the singles don’t.
Students can get concession pricing on West Tech Main tickets only - select the student rate at checkout and bring valid ID to the registration desk. There is no general student or not-for-profit discount across the rest of the festival or the Festival Pass.
Until 20 November you can transfer your pass to anyone free of charge from your MEGATIX order. After that, name changes happen at the registration desk.

Speakers and sessions are added weekly until the festival. The Festival Pass covers every session regardless of changes.
